Teen sentenced in wrongful death of girl

A teenage boy believed to be responsible for a car crash that claimed the life of a 12-year-old girl has been sentenced, according to local sources. The 15-year-old boy, who was 14 at the time of the accident, was found guilty in an Ontario court and a sentence has been passed down. It is unknown whether the family of the deceased victim has filed, or will file, a wrongful death lawsuit in civil court. 

Car accidents: severe crash in Ontario leaves 4 dead

A seven-vehicle crash on Highway 401 near Kingston has resulted in four fatalities, according to police. Ontario Provincial Police, who typically respond to car accidents on 400-series highways, are still in the process of determining the cause of the accident that utterly destroyed one of the passenger vehicles involved. So far, they have not pressed charges against any of the drivers involved in the crash. 

Car accidents: 1 critically injured in Toronto

One man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash in Toronto's east end, according to news sources. Car accidents involving multiple vehicles are carefully investigated by Ontario authorities. While this case is being handled the same way, the investigation is still in its preliminary stages as of this report. 

Wrongful death possible in case of fatal motorcycle crash

A decorated firefighter tragically lost his life in a car accident in North York, according to local sources. Ontario police responded to the scene of an accident involving the 30-year-old motorcyclist and another vehicle. So far, they have not filed charges against the surviving driver, but this does not preclude the family's ability to file a wrongful death suit against that individual in regard to this case. 

Wrongful death possible in death of child

Tragedy struck the Scarborough area on the afternoon of April 21 when a child was killed in a car accident. Ontario authorities are still investigating the fatal crash that claimed the life of a 6-year-old boy and may have also injured his mother. While police have not filed charges against the driver at this time, the family may still choose to pursue a wrongful death suit.
