Canadians react to ban of headers in U.S. youth soccer

Canadians are weighing in on the recent decision in the U.S. to restrict, and in some cases, ban the use of headers for players in youth soccer leagues. The United States Soccer Federation announced this month that kids 10 and under will not be allowed to use their head to move the ball either in practice or during games. Heading will be allowed for kids between ages 11and 13 in games, but not in practice.

Teen struck while walking to school suffered 'extensive' injuries

While pedestrians are told to cross the street only at intersections, unfortunately, that doesn't always guarantee their safety. Earlier this month, a young teen was critically injured in Windsor when she was hit by a pick-up truck on her way to school.

Canadian whale-watching cruise ends tragically

One of the most popular activities for tourists from around the world who visit Canada is going on sightseeing cruises along our coastlines. Sadly, as many of our readers know, one of these cruises ended tragically last month. A whale-watching trip on a vessel filled with passengers, most of whom were British, capsized off of Vancouver Island.
